Fitness Choices is the 3rd optional module for Preliminary PDHPE. Fitness Choicds examines the exercise options available to meet the fitness needs of individuals. In Fitness CHoices, you will investigate what exercise meant to different people and the factors that influence exercise choices. As a major focus of Fitness Choices, you will experience a range of exercise options and evaluate the ability of each to meed individual fitness needs. Fitness Choices aims to enable you to reflect on your personal exercise needs and preferences and make informed consumer decisions about exercise options that address your needs.[1]
There are three (3) critical questions for Fitness Choices. These are:
In this module, you will examine the meaning of exercise and the value people place on fitness. You will experience both individual and group fitness activities. The various settings for exercise will be explored. And you will be asked to examine advertising in this industry. Furthermore, motivators and barriers will be discussed along with ways to overcome them to increase participation rates in exercise and physical activity.
